Prakash Pustakalaya was established in the year 2014 BS. Then Prime Minister of Nepal B.P. Koirala provided the funds for the construction of library building. Prem Raj Angdev, then Education Minister of Nepal in the year 2017 BS, laid foundation stone of the library building. The library committee organised ‘Sahitya Sammelan’ in the year 2024 BS. It is evident from the visitor books and some available pictures that renowned literary personnel such as Siddhicharan Shrestha, Chittadhar ‘Hridaya’, Dharmaratna Yami and others visited the library. Books for the library were provided by the local people, American and Indian embassies and other organizations. There were thousands of books and many of them were in Nepali and Newari. But at present there seem to be no records of the books that were the assets of the library.
